Seaport Security Asia 2010

*Develop and execute enhanced seaport security strategies to prevent terrorism threats to supply chain assets and personnel*

The security of port facilities and ships is of utmost importance, due to global threat of terrorism and with incidents like the Mumbai attacks fresh on the minds of everyone, ensuring port security has and will be at the forefront of port operators and authorities.

The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code has been developed to enhance the security of ships and port facilities. What better venue to hold a port security conference than to be holding it at the busiest port in the world, here in Singapore. The Maritime and Ports Authority of Singapore has also developed a Port Security Manual for the Singapore port facilities, and provides updates through port marine circulars/notices and the current security level of Singapore.

In its 2nd year, Seaport Security Asia will once again bring together regional and international seaport security personnel from port authorities, operators and government law enforcement agencies along with top level industry executives for 2 days of dedicated seaport security discussions.

You will have a chance to increase your knowledge on the developments and technologies utilized for seaport security, while gaining insights on the ongoing projects and plans for port security programmes in Asia, allowing you to establish your own roadmap from critical lessons learned.
