A literary pioneer, the late Na Govindasamy was born in Singapore in 1946. He was a lecturer in the National Institute of Education till May 1999. Govindasamy, who played a major role in contributing towards the development of literature in Singapore, started writing in the 1960s. He wrote several radio plays, dramas, short stories and a novel. He was also awarded the prestigious SEA Write Award in 1994.
This seminar on Na Govindasamy will explore and critically analyse the creator's role as a writer, educationist and a contribitor to Tamil digital renaissance.
