Decade of the Mind VI Conference - Cognitive Science & Neurotechnologies

The Decade of the Mind is a research initiative that aims to bring about a dramatic leap in the understanding of the brain, mental processes, and the emerging neurotechnologies that have profound impact on health care, education and the improvement of human life.

Organised by A*STAR's Institute of High Performance Computing, MINDEF’s Defence Research & Technology Office and NUS’s Temasek Laboratories, the Decade of the Mind initiative will be holding its sixth meeting for the first time in Asia from 18 - 20 October 2010.

It will be held at the Fusionopolis complex in Singapore, where research in biological and engineering sciences converge. Come join us to engage with leaders in the field as they cast their minds to the future of research in the cognitive sciences and neurotechnologies.

The conference is organized thematically to address the spectrum of cognitive science research and neurotechnology: sessions on neuroscience and psychology will explore fundamental scientific issues, while topics on brain-machine interface, robotics, and neuroengineering will discuss advances in neurotechnology.

Registration is now open and our target audience for the conference are scientists and researchers in cognitive sciences, research policy makers and funding agencies, students and the general public interested in understanding the impact of cognitive sciences and neurotechnologies on individuals and societies.

There will also be a public exhibition during this conference.
