Essential Skills for Managers
Introduction
A manager's job is varied and complex. To complete their daily duties and responsibilities, they will need technical, people and conceptual skills. A lot of people are well-equipped with the technical skills but lack of the people aspects.
In this highly interactive 2-day training, the participants will learn how to communicate, motivate and lead his team. Managers with good people skills will be able to get the best out of his people. Participants will leave with a specific action plan in relation to their own individual/team development and the confidence to maximise performance.
Objectives
After the two-day workshop, participants will be able to:
- identify the role and responsibilities of an effective manager
- articulate different management styles & the appropriate use of those styles
- appreciate how teams develop and demonstrate the important skills needed for effective team development
- identify what motivates their people and how to give them constructive feedback on their performance
- use techniques to efficiently manage their own and their team's time, and delegate tasks with confidence
- demonstrate effective communication, feedback and coaching skills to build positive working relationships
