Spend an evening with the NUS Symphony Orchestra as young and ardent music lovers bring to life an impressive repertoire, including world-famous works like Rossini’s The Barber of Seville and extracts from Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning Schindler’s List. Showcasing the talent of these young musicians, these pieces embrace great variety, with fanciful, rollicking melodies and dark, pensive solos: a brilliant display of colours from the spectrum of human emotion, from introspective indigo to vibrant orange. Also featured are familiar themes from the musicals of Andrew Lloyd Weber which will ease the mind with pleasant memories in soft greens and blues. With such a diverse range of music, there will definitely be something for everyone.
