Corporate Counsel Asia
The role of the corporate counsel is becoming increasingly complex. Even companies with substantial in-house legal resources can have a hard time keeping up with regulatory requirements and changes in key substantive areas of the law, let alone finding time to anticipate new trends. Moreover, there has been a lot of literature and discussion recently on how the role of the General Counsel has been evolving. An exceptional General Counsel is not only measured by the legal advice they provide, but also by their in-depth understanding of the business and the proactive contributions they make to the corporation.
This in-depth best practice driven conference will begin with a substantive update on key areas where the law is changing rapidly and will focus on strategic issues affecting in house counsel such as managing litigation in-house, strengthening the in-house team, the role of in-house counsel in risk management and optimising relationship and value of a General Counsel to the Board.
