ACF Reading & Learning Forum: Pictures Tell Their Own Tales: Inspiring Creativity In Your Child
The National Library Board with the support of Goethe-Institut Singapore, is proud to present again the ever-popular Asian Children's Festival reading and learning forum. Catered for parents, teachers and caregivers of children below 12 years old, the forum aims to provide inspirations, ideas and tools for participants to cultivate the love for reading and learning in their children.
The forum this year will feature award winning German children’s book illustrator, Ms Birte Müller. Together with a panel of local educators, she will share ideas on how picture books, illustrations, art and the visual images around us can be tapped on to engage children in reading, meaningful learning, creative thinking and in negotiating the multi-media world we live in.
Forum Topics:
Visual Magic and the Creative Child
by Ms Birte Müller, Children’s Book Illustrator
Using Visual Images for Family Literacy
by Mrs Soo Kim Bee, Curriculum Specialist
Reading Pictures: Great Picks from the Library
by Ms Zubaidah Mohsen, Senior Librarian, Children’s Services
Seats are limited to only 200 participants and tickets are at $10 per participant.
